In 2019, Redeemed Furniture and Décor was set up by us, husband and wife, Paul and Mel.

We started with a vision. Combining our artistic creativity, love for vintage furniture, and our passion for giving new life to old things. This gave birth to a furniture and decor business we could pour our heart and soul into.

Everything we create reflects our passion for unique and vibrant design. We love furniture with a story, from interesting times or places. In a world of cheap remakes and throwaway culture, we take pride in seeking out old, lost or broken gems, recognising their potential, and then bringing them back to life.

We believe in redemption, restoration, and renewal—seeing beauty where others might only see brokenness. This philosophy guides us in creating stylish, authentic, and sustainable items for our many happy customers.

Our commitment to these values extends to our community as well. We are dedicated to helping those less fortunate by giving back in various ways. Whether through free workshops, work experience, or placement opportunities, we strive to support those in need. Discover more about what we’re doing to help the community here:

With over ten years of experience in the high-end art industry and 30 in the creative field, and a lifetime honing our design and craftsmanship skills, we started to sell and create unique and highly desirable pieces for our eclectic customer base.

What separates Redeemed from many other up-cyclers, is our use of original artistry. We mostly use individual, hand painted designs, instead of relying on stencils or mass-produced graphics. Most of our up cycled items will be truly one of a kind.

Skills and Experience

Redemption process

“Redeemed: To buy back, regain possession of, make something better than before”

Our motivation at Redeemed is to put great items of furniture and décor back into people’s homes; saved from endlessly circulating in the secondhand market and even ending up in landfill sites. We believe that there is too much waste in the world and we’re passionate about playing our part to change this. That’s why we love selling to individuals and businesses, who are looking for so much more than just a functional piece but rather take pleasure in something that adds a story and character to their home while helping to sustain the planet for future generations.

How we prepare our items for re-homing:

Clean, Repair, Restore

Often our process is a simple one – of finding beautiful pieces in need of care, then cleaning, repairing and rewiring; making them fit and safe for the modern home.

Fresh Style

Sometimes we take an old piece, then add some new quirky design touches. This involves keeping the early character of the item but injecting a fresh and contemporary look.

Original Artwork

At other times we take the opportunity to free our creativity. Pieces of furniture become a canvas for original artwork, as we transform them with our unique “In vogue” hand-crafted designs.
